Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens: ticket or multi-day pass?
Updated October 11, 2026 · 4 min read
A combined same-day ticket is the simple choice when you want both the palace and garden. The offer linked here is valid for one day from first activation; it is not a multi-day pass. A broader product makes sense only if you will use its additional museums and can protect the extra time. Do not buy a pass for theoretical value: Pitti contains several collections and Boboli demands a lot of walking.
What the combination offers
The Pitti Palace and Boboli Garden ticket with audio guide starts at €36 in the current selection. According to the provider that breaks down into €25 for the combined ticket, €7 for the digital audio guide and €4 booking fee. It covers the Pitti complex with the Palatine Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art, the Costume Gallery and the Treasury of the Grand Dukes, plus the Boboli Gardens and, according to the page, the garden of Villa Bardini. The audio guide is an app in English, Spanish, German and Italian.
At Pitti the Palatine Gallery, with works by Raphael, Titian and Caravaggio, is usually the main reason to go; the other museums make a “complete” round larger than it sounds. Boboli is not a short ornamental courtyard: the page advises comfortable shoes because of the amount of walking, and mentions a multi-year restoration in the garden that can screen off areas such as the amphitheatre or fountains.
Times and rules
The last entry to the palace is 4:30 pm. For the Boboli Gardens the page gives 4:30 pm (January, February, November, December), 5:30 pm or 6:30 pm (March, where the details contradict each other) and 6:30 pm (April, May, September, October); it gives no time for the summer months. Go straight to the Pitti Palace entrance and have the PDF ticket with its QR code ready, because staff scan it. Smoking and touching plants are not allowed. The page excludes people with mobility impairments and wheelchair users. Some reviewers say the audio guide app is hard to access; download it in advance if you plan to use it.
Our recommendation
For most visitors the palace-and-garden combination with a generous half day is the right fit. In heat or rain, give the palace priority. Visitors with limited mobility should not book without asking the provider first, because the page lists them as not suitable.
