The Uffizi, Accademia and Brunelleschi’s Dome are the main timed-entry bottlenecks. The cathedral itself is free, but the dome and other monuments use paid passes and fixed slots.
No. They usually replace the ticket-office queue, not mandatory security checks. Arrive at the meeting point or entrance at the time stated by the operator.
The historic centre is compact and walking is usually the clearest option. Day trips into Chianti, Siena, Pisa or Cinque Terre are a separate transport decision.
No. Florence is inland on the Arno and has neither a sea beach nor a passenger harbour. Tuscan beaches are separate trips toward the coast, not Florence attractions.
Usually not. Listed tours commonly last around twelve hours and involve a long transfer. It is bookable from Florence, but staying nearer La Spezia gives the coast more time.
Not for the historic centre. Restricted traffic, parking and walkable sights make a car inconvenient there; it becomes useful only for independent countryside routes.
